Sustainable shopping with preloved fashion, locally made jewelry & art + community spirit at SalvEdge this season.
Shopping local has a domino effect — when you support one local business, it helps to support other local businesses. SalvEdge Boutique has been carrying a variety of jewelry and art by local designers and artists for years, and we know the importance of creating a sense of community in our city. A small local business contributes to the economy by supporting other sustainable businesses, creating jobs and providing a unique presence and product in the community.
We support sustainable fashion and waste reduction, which is why we carry the wares of local, independent creative gurus and sell clothing from local fashionistas on consignment, as well as stock from independent boutiques clearing merchandise from previous seasons. Here, even “fast fashion” pieces are recycled to new closets.
Many people have new year’s resolutions to only shop sustainably, or “second hand”, so why not grab a gift certificate for that person, or get a head start on YOUR new wardrobe mandate?! Some choose to support the recycling movement and make a pact to only buy preloved gifts for that truly unique find and added value, i.e: one of a kind vintage fur, four books for the price of one, an entire outfit for the price of one top, and so on.
If you’re looking for a unique, handmade item, you’ll find collections from Silas & Ivy, JLP Designs, Alora Boutique, TISH Jewelry, Inner Wolf, Coutu Kitsch, Tribes + Society, Apryl Dawn, Pretty Pennies, Coco Mina Coco Art, Pretty Smashing and Revive Leather Works (https://salvedgefashion.com/victoria-park/). New product is introduced on an ongoing basis. and local artists are always welcome to host a pop-up shop at the 17th Avenue location (NO FEE), and consign or sell unique creations at either location (60% return).
